The Oral Microbiome & Immunology Research group at Zarqa University is a multidisciplinary team of Scientists, Clinicians (Dentists) and IT professionals. Our research is multidisciplinary and focusses on how diet, tobacco use and diseases status impact the cross talk between the oral microbiome and immune system. Using basic, clinical, and translational research methods, we are aiming to unravel the complex interplay between the oral microbiome and immune response in human health and diseases of public health importance in the region. The goal of our research is to develop microbiome based, nutritional products aiming to enhance immunity and protect against chronic oral and systemic diseases.
