The interdisciplinary of many subjects in this research and its originality embody its theoretical significance. In the Arab region, till the time of writing this proposal, there are a few studies discussed this topic due to the short period of COVID-19 start point; some studies were found investigating this issue but with a narrow scope, thus the current study will enrich the knowledge of librarianship and higher education institutions. The study will be beneficial for stakeholders, librarians, researchers, and will be of a great outcome in real life if its findings and recommendations are taken into consideration. It is a potentially powerful way to gain insights that can lead to improved performance in academic libraries for emerging all patrons inequitably and effectively in its environment.
The findings of this study will redound to the benefit of the communities. It takes into consideration that libraries have shifted in less than a year from information management approach to digital content accessibility approach through which libraries adapt a real change in the essence of its programs by coining their mission towards developing policies, techniques, accessible collections, and human resources practices to facilitate accessing to information as efficiently as possible. Furthermore, the current topic will be open for future research and a wide investigation process that covers other samples.
